Now we sip champagne when we thirsty.

I went on a TREAT YO SELF binge in the weeks surrounding my 24th birthday/quarter-life crisis, including mid-week mini-vacays, a one-nighter in Vegas & binge eating on a level that can only be described as reckless and cringe-worthy. unfortunately I didn’t get my new camera — another TREAT YO SELF purchase! — until the last week of January but, regardless, a couple goodies:

yoink’d from my friend’s mobile uploads so exsqueeze the quality.

San Deezy with my home beezies. random bar in Pacific Beach, passion fruit ricotta torte at Extraordinary Desserts and my friend’s roommate’s husky/German shepherd mix Kiba <3 other highlights include deathly $2 well drinks at Flick’s and clubbing at Hillcrest for Welfare Wednesday, ridonkulous portions @ Hash House A-Go-Go, mercury poisoning-levels of sushi consumption at Sushi Deli and $1 oysters and happy hour drinks on Prospect St (the oysters weren’t cold enough and the drinks were disgusting but the La Jolla beach sunset was amazing).

spoiled & lucky. girl you know ah-ah-ah.. BEST BIRTHDAYWEEKEND EVER.

(1) my friends dragged themselves out to a club/bar that can most accurately described as a sweaty hell-pit filled with Asians & AMFs… see my Yelp review here–http://www.yelp.com/biz/busbys-east-los-angeles#hrid:__U3aHfDRwV33jucbd4wKg.

(2) Feasted on fall-off-the-bone short ribs and soy bean paste stew at Seungbukdong where my roommate surprised me with flowers, cake and a card–gestures which may appear deceptively simple but knowing it was from one of my best friends in this entire world made it that much more special.

(3) materialistic gloating in 3…2…I GOT AN iPhone!! yes, iAm part of the iCult now. emotions range between sheer terror for its well-being and iPhone-owning induced smugness. thanks, J :)

(4) the photo above was taken in downtown LA about a block from the Staples Center… right after watching the Michael Jackson’s Immortal presented by CIRQUE DU SOLEIL. my girlfriends surprised me with VIP tickets and the show was exhilarating and awe-inspiring. rest in peace, MJ. PYT4LIFE, check it. *drop mic* afterwards, one of my best friends from home made the effort to come out with me–even though it was already midnight–for Bitch Bubbly champagne, drinks & tacos in local Old Town Pasadena <3

and yes, that was not all fun&food I had. clearly, I am enjoying funemployment but the 9-to-5 grind will come soon enough and I have the rest of my life to work ;)

by the way, if you aren’t familiar with TREAT YO SELF, then EDUCATE YO SELF and bask in joy & mimosas.
